Android Central Question

I love in New York and the weather is starting to get cold. It was very cold outside like in the 10-20s. This has happened twice so I'm making the assumption that the cold weather is affecting my phone. When I wait for my bus I usually use my phone or leave it in my coat pocket and my phone gets pretty cold. I came home from work two days ago and after an hour I put my phone to charge and went to bed. I woke up and it was frozen, the screen didn't turn on or off but the led light was green saying my phone was fully charged. I had to restart it and it was working again. Yesterday I went to work again and it was cold, I was using my phone and the phone was cold again. I went home and after about two hours I put my phone to charge. I woke up and it was frozen again but this time I had the Always on Display again and I had a few messages and my led light was going off. Can someone explain to me what's going on?

What charger?

Try wired charging.

When apps crash or freeze they often leave a log entry. Go into Device Maintenance and click icon that looks like a paper doc.

Instagram is famous for lockups. Unlikely but it is more likely an app.

Also probably set to do backups, updates, other maintenance.

It has nothing to do with your charger, the note line has been messing up ever since the two recent updates that they just pushed out a couple of weeks ago for the October and November security updates. My phone including a bunch of others are affected by freezing, not turning on and being unresponsive. The only thing we can really do is wait for a new update to fix all these bugs because it's totally unacceptable
