Android Central Question

I recently woke up to my Note 8 restarting on my nightstand, no reason what so ever. While in a meeting, my phone restarted again and is stuck in boot loop. I just got back from vacation the day before and didn't even have time to back up my photos. I am stuck and cannot get it out of boot loop. I have tried doing a cache wipe without success. My phone is not recognized by my PC and I have tried multiple software programs without success (phone is not rooted). And after a 6,500 mile flight, not like I can go back and take my pictures again.

Where it gets interesting it all of my photos were supposedly being backed up on the cloud. Nope. My SD card removed, no pics there either. I did not change the settings on the phone to store on internal memory as I always back up and transfer my pics to my next phone. Where is gets even stranger, all the photos from my last few phones are still on the SD card, but not one since owning the Note 8 are visible. I did not encrypt my SD card.

Anyone have any suggestions before I do a factory reset and lose all of my photos from a once in a lifetime trip?

Eww....hate to hear that. Did at any point the battery go dead and then you recharged it?

Step 1, turn it off and let it sit. Continuing to boot loop isn't helping it.

Step 2, after many hours, see if you can manually boot into recovery. Without having previously unlocked the bootloader you're limited on what you can do here without losing data, but sometimes if you can get the phone to do anything, it's progress. If you can get into recovery you can check if adb can see it.

Did you enabled USB debugging when it was working?

I'm assuming you already tried booting into safe mode.

That sucks and I'd be real upset if I lost all my photos. That said, Google photos is your solution going forward. You don't need "time to back up your photos" because it does it automatically for you.

Again, that's going forward, no idea how to fix your current situation. Good luck
