Note 8 Leaked (Forbes Article)

Should have been 6.5" at least, too close to the s8 plus.

No, they should have ignored the 18.5:9 aspect ratio for the Note 8, kept the 6.3" size and just made it wider for NOTE/SPen purposes! That would have made more sense - it's supposed to be a "phablet" for lack of a better word! That to me, requires some width for drawing, spreadsheets, etc. as well as still using it as a phone, no? That's the way the previous Notes were!

They're trying to make the phone too mainstream now and not the niche market it used to be.

I agree...but can't blame them for trying to expand to appeal to more customers. That is what they are in business for...

The problem is they're making them too much the same. It's basically an S series phone now with an S-pen. Instead of a 12 month cycle, we now have a basically pretty much the same phone on a 6 month update schedule. Slightly better here and there and throw in an S-pen. I think whoever designs the Note phones either got lazy or laid off.

Damned, I hope you're wrong when the thing finally hits the market!!!

I disagree. The Note 7 with its form factor, UI, s pen and it's UI was vastly different (read better) in the way it felt, the way it looked and the way I interacted with it, than my s7 edge. That Note wowed me in ways the s7 hasn't even come close. Bring on the Note 8.

I agree with the Note7 being better than the S7E in every way. However, the Note7 was just a stepping stone for the S8. They took cues from that like the more subtle edges and incorporated that into the S8 and ditched the home button.
It "appears" that the distinction between the S series and Note is getting smaller this time around. . That is my point about the Note8.

They're all stepping stones but if the Note 8 has similar form factor/ratio as s8+ but, say, 6.3 inch, fps ON THE FRONT, 6gb/128gb, and s pen features, which I WILL use a lot, then my holding off and not getting the s8+ will have been worth it for me. I think jumping from s7 edge to Note 8 will be a pretty big stepping stone

Is that a Bixby button I see. (ง •̀_•́)ง

Not too thrilled about this whole thing. It's basically S8+ with an s-pen.
