Note 8 or Note 9

I returned one of my Note 8s so I could get a s9+. I really like it but I do know I'll want the Note 9 in the Fall. I still have my other Note 8 so I'm happy. I haven't bothered with the AR emojis and I couldn't care less about that...I would uninstall it if I could.

Be interesting to see what you think about note 8 and S9+ back to back after a few weeks.
I have 2 notes and was almost considering doing the same but price here means putting 2/300 towards the S9+ so I decided just to keep the 2 Note 8 and wait for the Note 9 instead

My mom has some cheap 3 yr old free LG phone from Tmobile that is crappy. I'm trying to take her to the tmobile store to get a nano SIM card so I can give (sell her) my s8 Plus. I told her it would last longer. It's mint condition. Would you say $450? Based what I see on swappa and ebay.

For the Note 9 I'm most likely going to order the unlocked version this time. I figure it will be a lot easier to sell the unlocked version rather than a carrier specific version and hold value better. Since I got tmobile and already know wifi calling works.

Would it be better to buy from samsung or best buy? I know with Best Buy you don't get the phone a week early like Samsung.com does a lot.

She said in a couple months maybe. Would be nice having that cash towards the Note 9 plus a trade in.

That's a tuffy, returns would be easier through Best Buy but I had a good experience from Samsung Direct too so I can recommend them also.

True. Only reason I'd return it is if it is defective. Best Buy also sells the unlocked mate 10 pro. I gotta admit if that phone just came out over the summer I'd be tempted if they only made more cases for it.

Flossy is really big on the Mate 10 Pro, and the Porsche edition as well. He's been using it as his daily driver and really bashes Samsung when comparing the two. Especially the lag.

I still don't notice much as well. Sometimes when Gmail loads I see a tad of it.

Also people like Flossy Carter are mega power users and running and watching all kinds of stuff on their phones and tablets. The Note 8 and S9 Plus for me were a lot less laggy than the S7 Edge and Note 7. The Note 7 would lag a lot the short time I had it. I still loved the Note 7 though! S7 was snappy for me compared to the S7 Edge. I hated the edge.

I agree. I don't doubt the people who experience it, but I feel like my note8 flies.

I have a s5 and it's fast.... Not note 8 fast but very usable. But the battery... Forget it

I can't agree. Both phones seem very fast to me. I don't see that ~25% speed increase that the 845 is supposed to have over the 835 though. They seem equally fast really, which is to say VERY FAST, but IME the S9+ does have better battery life.
