Note 8 to be MHL compliant

I was looking at a new-ish display accessory that supports MHL and SlimPort tech. Their website linked to a list of MHL compliant devices. While I was perusing the list, I was excited to find that the Note 8 was listed! Check the link to see for yourself. Pretty cool to see this tech coming back to the Galaxy series...

That's awesome - I still have the cable on my TV that I used to connect my Note 4 to that I haven't used in years... COOL! I'll just need a USB Type C to USB Mini Adapter! Thanks for the News!

The S8 does support USBC to MHL, so it's likely the Note 8 will though.

If the S8's have it, the Note 8 phone should. I do prefer the mirroring because I am lazy and can have the phone by me.

I just thought it might be the tablet because a few days ago, another site had cases for the phones, so I checked Amazon and I got confused...

Note 8 won't have MHL. They're done with that-- unfortunately.

It is confusing having a Note 8 tablet and a Note 8 phone. I came across this looking for a case for the Note 8 phone.

Its actually usb c to hdmi that the note 8 will have just like the S8. Works just like MHL.

It might work like MHL but it's not usable with MHL devices.

This guy says he got it to work with a USBC to HDMI cable.

Will the MHL cable/adapter from my S5 work or will it require a different cable/adapter? Was extremely disappointed my Note 5 doesnt support MHL. Time for upgrade and I want something MHL compatible.
