This maybe a Korean schedule. In store demos are not important in the USA. Samsung would waste the entire unpack event momentum if they don't start preorders in the USA the day after the unpack event.

Most cases people only get their preordered phones a day or two before available in store anyway. S8plus I got on April 19

I know my note7 was shipped on August 17th and was delivered on same day it was available in store on August 19th.

I've never pre ordered. I've got a buddy who always makes sure I get a black Note whatever. He gets a restaurant gift card for his loyalty. It's become a tradition. Just like hanging out here waiting with u guys, seeing screen set ups, camera pics... I'm just ready!

Home/ofc delivery is very convenient though. Especially for those who live in areas where not many are shipped to stores on release day.
