So easier to hold and use finger scanner.
More stuff to do with S9+, but camera is better on Note 8.
How well is the emoji maker? Heard that you basically have to still do everything to make it look like yourself?
My daughter's been asking me if I get the phone can she make herself a emoji. (7yrs old) lol
Also would you say S9+ have more features to use and do the. Note 8?

Well took the plunge and got the S9+ at Best Buy today. And right now trying to get it set up, but haven’t notice anything that makes me say wow. But then again still setting it up..

I've learned to just take Flossy's word at these devices. I know what to do whether he says its dope or nope.

Both are different for different users...people who really need S pen will buy the Note 9 for rest are happy with S9+

Well took the plunge and got the S9+ at Best Buy today. And right now trying to get it set up, but haven’t notice anything that makes me say wow. But then again still setting it up..

Yeah not a whole lot of difference on the software side between the two. The only wow factor that I didn't think I'd care about was the stereo speakers.

Great ....i too shifted from Note 8 to S9+..my main reasons were bad battery life on note 8 weak speakers and maybe size...love the S9+...from camera to amazing speakers 2 days battery life easy to hold and fps placement

Also more news today from South Korean sources is that indeed the finger print sensor will be under the screen on the Note 9. Saki just did a video on it. According to the source they have 3 prototypes to decide on for the under the screen sensor and that it will release late Aug. I was hoping sooner like sometime in late July as I WANT NOTE 9 and WANT IT NOW!!!

I would love to have a new toy but the wait until late august or likely September will be worth it. Now watch a hurricane will delay my shipment a couple weeks like Irma did to me last year! My Note 8 for some reason didn't get on the plane in Louisville in time that night and the next day they stopped flights to RSW! They shipped it the next day to Miami intl only to sit in the warehouse during the hurricane and for almost a week after as power was out in Miami.

It's usually game over for all the S series when the Note comes out. Even if you don't use the S pen the Note us almost always still superior to the S whatever for that year in some way.

...except Samsung featured one of his reviews in a commercial last year. He's part of the hype machine, just like every other tech reviewer out there. They all have their biases.

But this goes beyond this purpose of this discussion. For me, the S9+ is better than the Note 8 just because of the fingerprint sensor location alone. My small fingers had a hard time reaching it on the Note 8.

I didn't switch from the Note 8 to the S9 (I have a different phone) but I would certainly choose the S9 over the Note 8. The S9 is a gorgeous phone and it's definitely a great choice.

I've had the Note 8 and now the S9 plus and for me I don't think you're really missing out on too much if you still choose the Note 8 over the S9. Note 8 is still a great phone.

The Note 8 is absolutely a great phone! It's very nice-looking and offers a lot. It's just that if I were faced with the choice, I'd choose the S9. It's smaller and therefore easier for me to maneuver.
