I have a problem with my note 8. I have a pin password set and iris set for my device. I lock my screen with the power button where I have already set it to lock instantly by pressing it, but once I power on my device and it does not detect my iris scan(I did this on purpose) I can just swipe in the above directions and it unlocks the device, normally it should take me to the pin section. Is anyone having this issue or am I missing something?

Please help.

It sounds like it is not locking when you press the power button. It is only turning off the screen.

Hi,
I just saw this post and realized I was facing the same issue.
I don't know if it's too late for you, but it may help others having the same issue.

I had accidentally turned on my Smart Lock. Once it is turned on and it connects to a trusted device, (say a smart-watch, or your car), it bypasses the other security mesures and unlocks simply with a swipe.

To disable Smart Lock, you need to open the Settings menu, search for 'Smart Lock' and remove all trusted devices.

Hope this helps.

Yep smartlock does that. Great for the car or house though. Work never!
