Note 8 Videos replaced with Photo

Can someone please help me? A lot of my videos were somehow deleted off of my note 8. When i tried to restore them they restored but as photos! How can I fix this?

What "restored" was probably a thumbnail. Look at Google Photos and see if they're there. (If they aen't, they're gone. If they were important, they should have been backed up.)

Welcome to Android Central! Just in case, use a file manager app and look directly in the /DCIM/Camera directory (assuming you took these videos with the stock Camera app). Do you see any of the actual video files there?
