Isolated but known problem; so far the fix has been a warranty replacement camera or complete phone.

You should factory reset your phone before sending it in.
Between Google and Samsung, most everything can be backed up. You'll only have to log in to each app.

I agree. "setting it back up" isn't anything like it used to be...
More setting up my widgets and homescreen more than anything else

Turns out to be hardware camera problem inside. My phone has this problem and I couldn't get it to do it in the store..
On my my way out, I gave it one last shot and there it was, the vibration and the telephoto lens not working, blurring pics and videos.

Immediately done an about face and demanded a new camera after handing it over to the technician.

They agreed. New phone on its way it will be here Tuesday. Had a battery issue draining as well.
Assurion came through again. 🙏

I have the same issue. Will get a replacement phone. You should just be able to use smart switch to move everything over.

I have the same problem, if I want a replacement phone do I go straight to my carrier?
If you go through carrier they might make you use your insurance and pay deductible, better Samsung direct. As this is manufacturer defect.

Considering the Note 9 was released in August 2018, everyone should still have their 1 YEAR WARRANTY in tact. Whether you go through your carrier or Samsung, insist that they honor the warranty that come with the product.
