Note 9 Mic Problem

Hi Guys. I am trying to use a Type C Mic on my note 9.

When I record audio on the voice recorder app the Type C mic works perfectly.

When I try to record a video using the Note 9 camera, the phone picks the audio from the internal mic, instead of the Type C; even though when I start to record the phone says "recording audio from USD mic"

I tried restarting but the problem continues

When you connect the external mic does anything pop up on the notification panel ?

Hi, thanks for responding. I only got the notification once.

An important update is this:

I downloaded an app to record video from my phone, and the mic works well with it.

The problem is happening only when I try to use the phone's camera to record, which I would prefer to use. When I use the phone's camera grabs the sound from the phone mic, instead of the external Type C. The phone still says "recording audio from external usb mic" but is not doing it

Try another camera app in play store see if it recognize it ?

Hi, thanks for getting back to me.

I tested two more camera apps and none of them are picking up the sound from the external mic.

So far the only ones that are picking up the sound of the external mic are the default Voice recorder app, and this more sophisticated app to record video called Cinema FV-5 Lite

Maybe in permission for camera app turn on or off the microphone see if makes a difference?

One other thing , go to developer settings and play with usb settings there ?
