I recently bought a Brand New Note 9.
(I had another Note 9 before this, and the problems mentioned below didn't happen)
When I inserted my local Sri Lankan SIM card it said:
"Sim card changed
Restart your phone to start using your new sim card"
I kept restarting the phone, but this message didn't go away. I can't even use the phone while this SIM card is inside.
Next, I did a factory reset, and when restarting, I ensured the SIM card was inside. It reset, and detected the SIM Card, and it worked.
Now, I want to insert my Indian SIM Card (while in Sri Lanka), and the same notification comes up and keeps looping:
"Sim card changed
Restart your phone to start using your new sim card"
(I can see that the phone has detected the Network operator, and there is Network. It's just all greyed out because of this notification)
I tried putting other Sri Lankan SIM cards from different Networks, and those work.
I have also tried using both SIM Card Slots.
What do I do?
Is it a Network error?
