Note 9 will not unlock or power of

I woke up early this morning hoping to watch the news and see the whether on my phone but, I couldn't log in to my phone I tried it multiple time using the pattern unlock and the finger print scan; but nothing is working at all, I tried turning it off/restarting it but that required the unlock. Every time I try to unlock it it goes too a black screen for about 2 seconds then goes back to the lock screen, If I had tried to power it off it goes to a black screen then it shows the options to turn off and reset; after trying to power it off every time I try to unlock it the power options come up.

Try pressing the Power button for up to 20 seconds to put it off. If that fails then wait for the battery to discharge. Recharge and then go into Recovery mode and clear the cache. Then restart your phone.
 
I am on my 2nd occurrence of this. Happened a few months back. Just happened again today while I was sleeping. First time I forced the reset from google. Can't force an unlock from Samsung account only lock Samsung services or erase device. It wiped everything including pics on my memory card. That sucked big time. Trying to avoid this again. What's the deal with this? Seems to be posts popping up all over with this issue.
 
Solved this problem by doing this:

The Note 9 is having issues where it says enter your pin and won't use your biometrics, but gets stuck in a loop back to the enter your pin screen. If you enter the correct pin it sticks in the loop. If you enter the wrong pin it will say incorrect pin so don't fool yourself into thinking you forgot your pin.
To clear this hold the physical power button on the side until the 3 options appear on your screen. Then hold the power off button until enter safe mode appears. It will ask your pin and actually accept it then boot into safe mode. Once in safe mode you can restart to normal mode when the question appears and it will be working normal again.
 
This happened to me as well and what I did was let my phone sit for about 10 to 15 minutes and bam tried pin and unlocked phone. Immediately backed up phone and did a Full factory reset. I had an S9 plus on standby and Samsung Smart switched everything into it just incase something drastic what's going on. I didn't want to be without a phone.
The only thing I can think of that caused this was the pie update. Maybe there was a glitch causing this and that's why I was having trouble.

But smart switched everything back into my note 9. And in the words of Forrest Gump, I am running.
