Note Edge Issues

I bought a note edge a few months ago and I have been super happy with it. Just like every other galaxy phone I have had. However, I seem to be having some battery issues all of a sudden.

I used to take my phone off the charger around 10 AM and it would be unplugged until 1 - 2 in the morning and it would still have over half a batter left. All of a sudden in the last few weeks or so it dies way faster than that. I unplugged it less than two hours ago and it is almost down to 80% battery life. It has been in my pocket the entire time. There was a few times before that I didn't even plug it in at night and it still didn't die by the end of the second day. Now I'm lucky to get through one work day. Even without using it for more than a few texts and checking Facebook a few times. A month ago I would listen to music almost all day and still have well over half the battery left.

I have auto brightness off, I have power saving on with ultra power saving off. This is how the phone has been set up since I got it so I don't understand why it is dying so fast now. The only apps I have downloaded on the phone are Simpsons Tapped Out, Facebook Messenger, Tiny Flashlight, MMA Junkie and Xbox One Smartglass so I don't have much running in the background.

Any input would be appreciated. I'm assuming I'll have to buy a new battery which is fine. I just want to know if I possibly did something that messed it up. I haven't even used any charger than the one that came with the phone. It is just insane how much quicker my battery is dying all of a sudden.

Welcome to Android Central! I moved this question to the Note Edge forum, because I think it's better suited here than in the Batteries forum.

It would help to see some battery stats. Charge up to 100%, then let it drain to 20-30% with normal usage, without charging in between. Then show us:

1. The main Settings>Battery screen.
2. The fullscreen battery graph screen (which shows Awake time and Cell Signal Strength).
3. The Screen category (to see total Screen On time).
4. The Cell Standby category, if present (to see Time Without Signal).

Two common causes of increased battery drain are poor cell signal and a corrupt file on the SD card. Try unmounting the card (in Settings>Storage), remove it, and reboot.
