You can try medium power save mode , just notification will be little delay , also can try turning sync off see if that helps also .

have it set to medium power saving mode and have tried sync off.
after numerous resets have Installed no app run it in safe mode and have not reset from backup. all is ok for 2 or 3 days then bam ....battery drain begins again ,

Your first screenshot shows optimize power mode not medium?

And your 2nd screenshot shows 2 days battery at same percentage ? Don't see battery life issue there .

totdat i been running optimised as i need to sync Samsung calendar .reel problems start as when I start to use the phone for anything ,I get around 3 hours sot even on wifi.
Maybe I am paranoid and my Oneplus6t has spoiled me

Yeah definitely should be getting better battery SOT then that , when I had my note 9 it got me 8 to 9 SOT consistently and a day or more with heavy use and light use 2 days easy with 5 to 6 SOT but have the US snapdragon

When Cell Standby is high, that often means poor cell signal, which can drain the battery. Does it drain like that if you're in a primarily strong cell signal area, or if you turn Airplane Mode on and just use wi-fi?

Have you confirmed the coverage? It can help to use GSam Battery Monitor to track the cell signal strength throughout the day. You might be surprised at the result -- the cell signal bars don't always tell the whole story.

Do you still get that kind of battery drain in Airplane Mode? Ok to turn wi-fi on while in Airplane Mode -- I'm just wondering what happens if you turn the cell radio off.

Have tried using I'm safe mode with airplane mode and only wifi and yes it continues.

I think it's the way the Exynos version is , possible android 10 can help .

I've had the Exynos version for 13 months. I'm getting 7 hours SOT presently. Before the September update I was getting 8+ hours.

Yeah but been hit or Miss with most saying not good, that's why I was thinking Android 10 might help , but if you have any suggestions to help battery life for OP defently more then welcome to suggest.
