Note9 or iPhone Xs Max?

Obviously user error if you only get 5hrs SOT with a note 9... there's just too many options to be overlooked..

Hahaha. Not user error. Search the threads here and you will see it's average usage for this phone.

I'm just going say this as I'm a iPhone user plus lot of other devices. iPhone great phone to talk ,text, different wallpaper then it ends there. this note series is different animal it's a work horse that does so much you want . this phone is different league of it's own

There is nothing the Note 9 did other than the spen that the iPhone can't do. Sorry. The Max is a workhorse and it lasts longer with it's great battery life. I had to charge my N9 during the day when I used it hard.

Like I said I like iPhones also which I have the 8plus and x
I run a business , and without even opening my phone I can write the customers name and work that needs to be done boom saved to my notes for later reference.

Now for different view non work related. You think iPhone max battery which is what 3100mah going not degrade faster then the note 9 powerful 4000mah , next the iphone sucks at multitasking not switch in and out of apps but bringing 2 apps togther, I can unlock my phone 4 ways to my convenience. The spen in drop and drag files to my Gmail or anything for that matter is far more Superior then a finger.. like I said your purchase of iPhone max is a solid purchase but don't ever compare what it can do vs note 9 it's in it's own league. Forget about it can simultaneously connect to different Bluetooth devices and other things too much to list here. I showed you proof the note with go over a day with 9 to 10 hrs straight on a charge which iPhone can't .

I was hoping you ask that question

I don't even need to write. I ask Siri to make a note and tell her what it is. Done.

Dex is hardly used by anyone. I used it once when I went out of town, and honestly, it was OK, but it wasn't worth the trouble.

The iPhone lasts longer because the OS is optimized much better than Samsungs. I've had LG phones that last longer than many S series phones from Samsung.

I have no need to bring two apps together on a small device like a phone. I used it a couple of times on my N9, and like I said, its a gimmick, and wasn't worth it. Give me a tablet and it is useful. The iPhone does multitask, its up to the developer to allow it in their app.

I can unlock my iPhone with faceid without even thinking about it. It's already unlocked when I grab it and look down at it. I can unlock it with my watch. I can unlock it with my MAC.

haha, the spen barely used, was honestly not needed when I can do exactly all that with my finger without having to pull the spen out. I did it faster actually.

The note 9 is not in its own league. It's not hardly even selling well as they had to discount it a lot right from the start. Their used prices are around $600-700 too. LOL

iPhone can connect to multiple bluetooth devices too. Two at once and listen to two at once too.

The iPhone can easily go 12 hours of use on a charge. My proof is above. And many others out there. 9 hours on a N9 is not the norm on this site as you can see by many other topics on here like the "All Day Battery life" or Pathetic Battery life topics.

All you said pretty much was useless. The iPhone does it all as well.

It's useless to you maybe , or maybe you don't understand how to use it . But like I said not even a comparison l

Dismissing features you don't use doesn't change the fact the features are there.

Funny that they think a note 9 is two small to do side by side apps. Side by side apps have saved me a many of times. Words can't describe how good it is to not have to constantly back out of app then go back to the next.

Tell you the truth I don't think he knows how to use the note , if he went further into the box the instructions are right there step by step

This so much, what good is a phone if it's dead, or needs to be plugged in constantly? I'm one of the only people in the office with an Android. When I walk around, most iPhones are plugged in, or someone looking for a charger, or whatever it is.

All the optimization in the world is going to save a small battery.

Anyone that can't get over a day of usage on a Note 9 either has a defective phone or is not telling a whole truth. I'm always making a tweet, posting a pic on IG talking on Messenger, and watching videos on Facebook and can easily hit 9 hours of screen within 24 hours. On days where I'm less active, I get runtime up to 60 hours. That's 2 and a half days.

No phone has ever come remotely close to that. Long are the days where people can **** on Android for bad battery life. If it's as unoptimized as people say, I should be plugging in every night, if not more. Lol

The Note 9 is heavily optimized as well. These numbers will only get better with pie.

And to those that say "it's only 5 hours of screen." It's still 60 hours of runtime on one charge. I also listened to about 11 hours of music on Poweramp during that time as well.

haha. No, per even the reviews, it's pretty useless. Give me a laptop.
The ideal for me would be to own both. I can afford it but can't justify it. The new Apple watch is a big draw for me. Not a fair comparison due to the extra cost but I think it will be more useful for me than spen. In my Note 3 I used spen only to annotate pics and of course any stylus can do that. I don't do selfies. The only camera feature I care about is an excellent pic on full auto. I think iPhone has the edge there. Note 9 big edge for my use is being able to use the usb c flash drive on my keychain to transfer files to and from Windows laptop at work. Nobody mentions that but it is huge for me. I don't care about Dex but if I can use it like hdmi to show streaming vid on tv that is huge when cable is out or I am in a hotel. I like the looks of the iPhone but don't like the notch. I have a couple of ipads so integrating the phone with them might be useful. imessage does nothing for me because I don't know anybody who uses it. Sounds great though. I'm not a gamer. I use my phone as a pocket computer primarily for working in Microsoft Office apps. There are things I really like and really dislike about both phones. I know I will love either one. Switching to iPhone ecosystem will cost me double since none of my current apps nor accessories will work with iPhone. iPhones never go on sale when new either not even Black Friday as far as I know.

Please don't try to convince each other. Most are really set on one or the other. I do love hearing about the best each has to offer to help me decide.
No, because it's not a popular feature and many will not use it.

Agreed. That's always prevalent whenever someone says that the iPhone does everything any other phone could do lol. Favorite about my most favorite feature which I use more the the side by side apps. The multi windows app. I'm constantly taking conference calls that require a passcode. I'm able to have the phone app floating where I can check my email without interrupting anything. Very useful at least for me.Screenshot_20181024-194112.jpeg

A slightly heavier use of screen but still over a full day of use.

I find it very hard to believe so many people can't last a full day. It has to be a rogue app, or something.

Can't lie, I have never had an experience with a rogue app on iOS. On the flip side they are pretty easy to pinpoint now that you can track apps and see how much mAh they are consuming.

But I digress. I'm happy. If people are unhappy with the device they can exchange the phone for something else and frequent that forum going forward.

why I'm not experiencing the issue you had ? I showed you proof not he/she said
like I said I'm sorry if it hurts your feeling but the note 9 is no comparison

Well, if it was no comparison then why is it being compared and winning most of the time vs the note 9 in all these reviews? Enough said.

your a iPhone user now , I respect that but don't come here putting the note 9 down just enjoy your current phone

If we listen to most reviewers none of us would have the note 9 lol
