Notification bar color changes color?

I just purchased an HTC One X and am very pleased with it! However, I have been noticing that whenever I wake up the phone by pressing the power button that the color of the notification bar quickly changes colors from a blackish background to a more clearish background, as if it is lagging. Is anyone else experiencing this "problem"?
If it matters, I have the dual core version for ATT

Mine does that as well. I recently changed my back ground and just started to notice it. No big deal to me though.

I'm pretty sure it was designed to do that. When you go into an application it does that as well. Check it out and see if that's what we are talking about. I may be mistaken.

When any app is launched the background is black.
When on the home-screen the bar is transparent and passes the color of the home-screen.

Launch Gmail, blinks to black, close Gmail switches to transparent.
Designed this way.

Why to people latch on to any little design feature and immediately call it lag?

It does the same thing on the EVO LTE as well. Someone already said it's designed that way

I realize that it is a very neat design feature. I was just thinking it could be smoother. Like when you wake up the phone have it blended in already without having it change from black to clear.
