Notification bar disappeared

This is probably a simple fix but for the life of me, I can't figure it out. I changed a wallpaper the other day and the notification tray up top disappeared. It shows up when I am in an app and I can swipe down to check for stuff but I no longer can see at a glance what notification icons I have going on or what my signal is.

I don't know what I did and I have been digging to find out how to get it permanently back. Can anyone help? Thank you!

Are you using a 3rd party launcher like Nova or maybe good lock and set it to hide?

I am. Yes. Using nova pro.

Go to Nova settings - look & feel and make sure that 'Show notification bar' is enabled.

Figured it out. The dark background wallpaper was hiding the bar. I had "dark icons" enabled in nova settings. Checked that and it appeared. It was there all along. In case anyone else runs into this...

Just to narrow the problem, can you change the wallpaper again and see what happens? What kind of colour is it now? If dark change it to light and vice versa.
