Notification bar unreadable with Marshmallow

I just got the Marshmallow update, still exploring it, but one obvious issue I have is, I can read the notification bar across the top when the lock screen is on, but as soon as I unlock and go to my home screen, the info across the top goes a light gray and I can't read it. I've been looking for a place to adjust that, but haven't found it. Any thoughts?

Do you have a custom theme/launcher? I have stock TouchWiz, and the notification bar has white lettering. Other than changing your background, I don't really know how to solve your problem.

If you have Nova go to settings, look and feel and uncheck dark icons.

Did some research on Marshmallow. With stock launcher and they should only be dark on a light color wallpaper

Yep, it was a Nova issue, not sure why it was different from on OS to the next, but that fixed it.
