notification help!

So I'm simply want ios like notifications on my lock screen.

Fluid and simple notifications.

I'm using something called screen on or something that turns the screen on when a txt or email is received.

I just downloaded an app from the play store called notify beta. Has great animations on when a notification is received. I also downloaded an app called headsoff to make sure there is no issues.

I cannot access the settings of notify beta. It's greyed out.

I added notify beta to the screen on app but my screen still doesn't light up.

Any ideas for simple fluid txt notifications or some way with a quick reply from the lock screen with fingerprint security enabled. Please help. Driving me crazy!!

Right now I'm using the Verizon messages+ app for my texts and it pops up a small window with the text message and allows me to reply without unlocking. On my s4 I used Textra which had a slew of personalization options, including a popup notification that you can reply with.
