Notification Light not working

So I noticed the other day that the notification light on my epic isn't working. Everything else seems to be pretty good on this epic so what I'm wondering is if I should exchange this epic for another one and take a chance that other stuff may not work or should I keep this one and just deal with the light not working? And before anyone says anything about the notification settings, yes it is turned on, yes I've turned it off, restarted and then turned it back on, and yes I've searched the forums.

Yeah I do. There is a cut out though for the notification light and the proximity sensor. I believe (correct me if I'm wrong) that those 2 lie right next to each other?

Notification light

I think there is nothing wrong with your phone. I thought the same thing when I put my case on when i bought the phone at radio shack. The notification light is near the VGA camera (right side). Take off the case and see.

Don't know if you are aware but the notification light blinks at the normal rate for just a couple of minutes, then defaults to a slower rate that to some may give the impression is not working.

My guess this is a feature to save battery, although LED consumes very low power. I have not found any menu option to control the time here.

Might want to do ahard reset just incase an app turned it off. Think I'm having troubles with mine even after uninstalling ringo lite zydge or handcent. I get the led notifiaction during the actual noise notification but the led stops blinking after 3seconds and won't blink again unless I wake up the screen.

Haha, so it was just me being an idiot. Took the case off and voila...had a notification light.
