Notification light?

Been looking at pictures and video of the atrix. Didn't notice any notification light on any of them. Anyone know if it has one?

Yes, there is one. It is a tricolor one as well.

You can see if on the top right corner of the phone.

Most likely be Red Green Blue, but with just those 3 colors, a LED light can make any color possible too... depending on whether it is programed by Moto or you root your phone to do it.

I know Moto at least has red and green showing through that light in pictures/videos of the phone so far.

Thank goodness, that notification light was one of the major hangups I had from moving away from BlackBerry.

I can vouch for this too. I have seen the green light as well on youtube. It is near the front facing camera.

I used the love the notification LED on my old blackberry storm. You couldn't miss it. I don't think I could ever have a phone that didn't have a notification LED

I kind of wish it was on top (near the headphone jack) so you can see it in your pocket. But any light is better than no light.

I wonder if there is a way to use the led flash as a notification light as well? Anyone know of an app that does this?

Actually LED's are incredibly energy efficient. No doubt that using the camera flash as a notification light would eat some battery, but LEDs use very little juice in general.

As stated above they don't use much battery at all and will last forever. A notification light is a must have feature for any phone IMO, that's where the iDevices lose.

That was mentioned in this thread. The question is, does tricolor mean Green/Orange/Red or RGB.

From Motorola current/pervious phones , I think u will be able to pick any color u want

In my experience, this type of notification light can be altered to produce many colors with simple after-market apps. I would assume RGB but I do not have much moto experience.
