Notification Options on Lock Screen

Okay, I am going to try and explain this as best as possible.
I have had the S3, S4, S6, S7 and now the S8
Every other phone I was able to Hide notification content. And JUST an icon show at the top of the screen
ie. Email, Text message, Etc.
Now with the S8 I get the white bar in the middle of the lock screen, which does state HIDDEN CONTENT,
But I don’t want the white bar, I want just the notificaiton Icon at the top.
I have checked and can’t seem to find a way for it to JUST do the icon with no large white notificaiton bar and content hidden message.
Is this even possible on the S8?

you might try NiLS. It's highly customizable for your lockscreen. I hate all persistent notifications except weather.

Appreciate the advice. I would however like a stock solution if possible. But I'm pretty sure it's not.

There's a thread with solution in this forum about hiding the white bar, it's a simple toggle but not remembering where it is right now.

Go to settings>lock screen and security>tap notifications--it doesn't look like you can tap it, but you can. Then you will be at the notification options.
