Have my Note 8 for less than 2 weeks and this issue was noticed from the day one.
As stated - as soon as I swipe notification panel to review the notifications, before I could do anything, the notifications are closed. This happens 8 out of 10 times.
If you succeed with keeping notification down and continue to swipe an SMS message to open a quick reply text box, the quick replies are also abruptly stop before I can enter the reply and press "send".
(quick replies are those you able to swipe down from the notification panel, which will bring up a single reply text box, allowing you to reply without actually go to the application. They are SMS, Google Hangouts, and Facebook messenger floating chat heads.
And finally, the same goes for the Facebook Messenger app chat-head (the floating icon, that allows chat without actually being inside the app) - as soon as I click the icon to open the chat thread, it closes.
Very annoying. I found a similar thread on the Samsung community forum, but no solution. Called Samsung support and was presented with 2 options: factory reset or return the phone back to Sprint store). Basically wasted my time there.
If anyone has experienced these symptoms or knows solution, I appreciate the feedback.
