Notification problem

I get notifications from my Chase account when activity occurs. At one time I could drag down the notification and it would expand to show me the whole message.

Now when I do it all the text disappears from the notification and just the word Chase is left.

Is it something in my phone settings? Can the sender change how a notification behaves?

No, more likely you got an update to the phone, and that changed it. Tap the notification and you should see the entire thing.
