Notification Sound Problem(s)

OK, I am stumped.

I have notification set under settings-->Sound--> etc., etc.

I have 3 e-mail accounts set up in the phone. Each account has been verified to have notification sounds enabled via inbox-->settings-->notification, or whatever.

Seems like the e-mail notification sound is hit and miss, mostly miss.

Anything I'm missing? Or is this a bug. Have seen a few complaints from folks having issues with notification tones.

Not a how stopper, but, just wondering what gives......???

If all notifications is turn on in sounds - and you're still having issues, then turn off the phone and remove/reinsert the battery. That might fix the problem.

A battery pull will not fix the problem. If a restart doesn't fix it (which it probably won't) then a battery pull definitely won't.

Please don't start suggesting a battery pull for random problems that you're not sure how to fix.

OP - Please make sure that when you're missing the sound that you don't have the phone set to silent or vibrate. I've done that a few times myself. Also I've noticed, too, that sometimes I get a sound for things and sometimes I don't. I've verified that my settings are correct and all that good stuff, but still no sound 100% of the time. The one thing that has never failed me is that even though I don't get the sound I still get the actual notification. Personally that is enough for me to deal with Android having notification issues.

OK, moved to K9 EMail client, all is working great. Have different e-mail notification sounds for each account. Seems like the issue was related to the stock client somehow.

BTW: I recommend K-9 email client. Works great for me.
