Notification Sound Won't Stop Playing!

I set a 30 second song clip as my notification sound for games, email and MMS. On other phones I've had, the song would always stop after I have checked/cleared the notification. However, on my Galaxy S4, it plays the song in its entirety even after I've checked the notification and cleared it.

If I get a 2nd notification a few seconds after the first one, the sound plays AGAIN, so the song is playing TWICE, one layered on top of the other at different points of the song. It is driving me nuts. Any solutions???

Can you check to see if play as a clip is an option. That's painful. Make you hate the tune quick

30 seconds long for a notification?
I should try making it shorter...there are audio editing apps in the Play Store that you can use to make it shorter
