Notification Sounds for email and texts??

Hi All,

I just got my Fascinate today. Thank you to all for the great work here - I was rooted in about 10 minutes!
I came from a BB and I'm used to having different notification sounds for email and texts. Is there a way to do this, or does anyone recommend an app that will let me configure different sounds?
I haven't been able to find anything so far.

Well, I don't have the fascinate, but it should be the same for all android devices. To set a particular notification sound for a particular app, you have to set it in the actual app settings, otherwise, the app just uses the system notification sound.

Just open the app up, menu key, choose settings. scroll down to "select ringtone", and set the tone you'd like. You can do this for each email account, and you can do the same for text message notifications. Just open your messaging icon, menu key, choose settings. Scroll down to "select ringtone", set your tone.

Thanks, I was trying to figure out how to set it to vibrate when messages are received. Oppps their it is. LOL
