notification sounds from sd

Just come over from bb. Can anyone tell me how to use notification sounds from my sd card

dosnt help. i know where my notifications are i dont know how to go into settings and change sounds from email or sms with the notifications on card. do i need a third party app???

You have to set the notifications in the individual apps. Like open the messenger program hit the menu button then go to settings. You should be able to see your ringers under the notification sounds there. The process is very similar for the email notifications. Open the email app, hit the menu button, select more, select settings, then go down to notifications and set ringtone. Hope that helps.
