notification sounds won't change

I went and reset all my settings then went to contacts and edit.. seen more and notification sound is there clicked zedge just once and it seemed to work can change them all now in my messaging app

I had the same issue with my calendar notification sound suddenly changing to one tone "On time" and would not change to anything else. At&t tried everything possible through screen share session I had reset app settings, done soft reboot, tried safe mode etc. When I looked I had looked I had USB debugging turned on so I turned it off. Voila, able to fix all sounds again.

I am using a Motorola Droid Turbo XT 1254. Every time I try to change my custom notification tones it changes the stock notification tone for the entire phone and I can't personalize it at all. I have tried multiple texting apps, done a factory reset, and still getting same result.
