Did a quick search and nothing seems obviously applicable here...
Since Jellybean, my Evo has had fairly constant catching/ momentary droupout / glitching audio playback whenever a notification of any type comes in. This happens when playing over the headphone jack. Audio drops out with an audible static / pop sound and then comes back in a fraction of a second. In general the phone seems like it is stealing audio focus for a fraction of a second to play a notification sound but never actually plays the sound. Putting the phone on silent profile does not solve the problem. Since I get notifications every few seconds and rely on my phone for podcasts and streaming music, this is extremely annoying. I can solve the problem by turning off auto-sync, it allows the phone to keep a data connection but stops the notifications. Audio problems disappear with auto sync off and material plays back smoothly. This is obviously not a real solution.
Anyone else have this issue? Solutions, if any?
Overall, I'm pretty fed up with all of the bugs in Jellybean. This is one of many issues.
