notifications/message sound

Since the Oreo update on my 10 the notification and message sound is the same, if I change the message sound it changes the notification sound and vice versa, is there any solution to undo this and make it separate again?

Same here, all sounds are the same?! Installed NotifiCon for the time being...

Same here. It's driving me nuts as I hear a SMS coming in, only to find it's LinkedIn, FB, Email, or some other app triggering a false alarm. I've also posted on HTC FB page to see if they response.

Have you tried 3rd party sms apps like textra or chomp and see if that will make a difference?
