Notifications not working with oreo.

The day I brought home my new S8, I was prompted to upgrade to Oreo. Immediately I noticed none of the notification badges were working. I reviewed all the AP settings, tried moving the apps in question off the home screen, cleared the cache, a couple other things I cannot remember. Then I did a factory reset.

Now, I get some notifications erratically. For example, I awoke this AM to notifications of new activity on Facebook but no notification of new email, of why I had about 20. Yesterday afternoon I was getting email notifications.

Will another factory reset help?? Is there any chance going back to the Verizon store I bought it from could help?? I have poured so many hours into this and at this point just want nougat back! Help.

take it back. it sounds like there is something wonky. you can try another fdr first but you seem to have covered the basics. and in my opinion that is as far as you should go on a brand new device
