Notifications Question

On my Pixel 3 XL I had it setup so that Microsoft's Your Phone Companion would not show an icon in the notification bar at the top but would show the notification in the pulldown. I can't figure that out how I did that before and change it on my 4 XL, what am I missing?

You can try setting notifications for that app as 'Other/less important' and see if it works.
