I've noticed on the Ally, that while in your sound/display settings you can set the option to your notifications volume to work with the ringer volume rocker on the home screen. Why will the fascinate not do the same thing? Its rather annoying if you ask me! If i set my ringer volume to low, I would love for my notifications to also be set to low without going through my settings to do so

Both the ringer and notifications should be linked - turn one down and the other turns down. Are you talking about "notifications" like SMS and e-mail sounds, or sounds when pressing keys/startup and shut down sounds?

Doesn't seem that way on mine. In Settings>Sound & Display>Ringer Volume;
there are two volume controls: Incoming Call volume and Notification volume. When I use the rocker switch on the side of the phone it adjusts the Incoming Call volume but leaves the Notification volume wherever it's set above.

Try the Quick Settings App. It changes the Ringer and Notification Volume to the same level.

Interesting. File that under TouchWiz differences, along with the TW launcher and music app.

I would like independent ringer and notification volumes

I have a problem where I want my notification and ringer volumes to be seperate levels, but for whatever reason they can not be independently set (if I change the slider on one, it automatically adjusts the other to match). I want my notifications set low, ringer volume high. Is there any way to fix this? The problem started when Installed Llama profile manager. I've deleted it, but problem persists. Thanks.
