Notifications Volume Set to Media?

I've been having a problem recently where I haven't been getting any sound alerts for receiving text messages and I finally figured out why: The notifications volume is tied with media volume, which I usually keep muted when I don't have headphones plugged in. Is there any way to change this? It's weird because in the sound settings under volumes, it even says that ringtone and notifications are on the same volume slider, but they definitely are not.

I have a similar problem, The lock screen sound is very low (it was actually somebody here that it brought it to my attention) and whilst trying to turn it up i realised that not only could i not get it to go any louder but if i reduced RINGTONE volume, The sound was gone completely! Surely that should be under the media volume... Not sure would this be a hardware issue or sofware but thankfully all other sounds are fine... although iam finding the vibration on key presses very low to but fine during calls/notifications etc

Yep, I was the one that posted the original issue for the lock sound. It is definitely a bug. I am hoping that the recent software update will fix it once it gets here.

Having the same problem with my HTC one x. The volume for notifications is actually controlled by the media/games volume.
I almost never want the games volume turned up so I hope they do fix this bug.
