Notifications vs. auto sync

Hello everyone,

I am in need of some guidance. I cannot figure out how to turn off autosync. I know that I can shut off the notifications, but is it possible to globally stop autosyncing of the device? Sometimes i want to turn off the process while keeping the radios on for GPS etc... Any help is appreciated.

Are you referring to the synching of GMail, calender, contacts, etc?

Yes, all apps that refresh. I used to use a power widget on my Droid Razr Maxx HD for this purpose. However, I can't find a similar option for the Nexus.
