Notifications w/ the new ICS

Hopefully everyone is enjoying their new software update and are learning all the tricks. However, does anyone know either the easiest or quickest way to view your notifications when they appear in the top left corner? I know you can take your finger and move it in a downward motion to view them. I just didn't know if there is another way, icon or whatever.
