Notifications when not connected to phone

This is my biggest issue with the s3 everytime I walk away from phone I end up with 50 text messages on my watch. My watch will vibrate for a solid 2 minutes straight then I have to go through and look at all of them to clear the notification.

I am having the same issue!! Gear s3 and Note 8. I guess I'll try going to Tmobile and see if they can fix it.
