Notifications won't delete

I have about 10 notifications from when I was trying to log into Facebook mobile. I had trouble logging in so I got notifications about this. I follow the proper steps to clear them but they are still there. Will they eventually go away on their own? What else can I do to get rid of them?

Welcome to Android Central! Are these notifications on your phone's status bar, or Facebook notifications (i.e., the little globe icon at the top of the Facebook screen)?

you go to your activities log and then, you push down and deleted.

Forgot all about this question. This happens from time to time and I figured out that clearing the FB app cache usually takes care of it.
