Notifications

I've watched many of the promotional videos for Facebook Home, and it doesn't seem to be working properly on my phone. My main complaint is the notifications from the lock screen, or whatever the first screen that comes up is called. In the videos they show long rectangular boxes that come up for every notification, and you can swipe them to the right to cancel, double click to open, or long press to stack together. The only notifications that appear here for me are Facebook ones. No email (gmail) or sms. I also don't have the option for sms integration with the bubbleheads, which would be fabulous. Am I wrong about these other notifications appearing here? Is it a setting I'm missing? I've looked all around and can't find anything.

I don't have Home, but I have chat heads enabled in FB messenger app on my nexus 4. I am able to enable SMS notifications in that. So any texts come up as chat head bubbles as well. Under messenger app go to settings>SMS/MMS and enable text messaging. Is that what you're looking for or do you want your other message app to be able to display their own notifications in the notifications bar?

I don't have the sms option under settings. It's a common problem apparently. But what I'm talking about is the notification bars that show on the home lock screen. It only shows facebook notification

Do you have the HTC First? I'm pretty sure the notifications you're looking for are only available on the HTC First phone that has Home fully integrated with the phone. Other phones will only display facebook, messenger and sms notifications.

Yup, it's only on the First.

On other phones FB Home doesn't have access to your other notifications because of privacy issues. It will show SMS once your phone is supported. What phone are you using?

I have been having this problem for a couple weeks..i stopped getting my notifications from facebook and instagram..i have bought a new phone..uninstalled and reinstalled the apps..spent hours with a professional at the store..made new accounts..and still nothing..its very frustrating..i dont understand what caused this..i jus stoppd getting the notifications for both..can anyone help plz??????
