Notifications??

Does the LG G3 only use sound and the notification light at the top or is there a way for the screen to light up when i receive a text or email like how the iPhone does??

Not looking to use a app etc from the playstore. Hoping theres a setting on the phone to do this. Thanks!

I have a G2, not G3 but there is no option in G2 for the phone to wake up from general notifications.

However, I know that some messaging apps like WhatsApp or Kakao give the user the option to have pop up notifications that will turn your screen on when they arrive.

Coming from a Galaxy S3, I've noticed the LED notification light on the G3 is smaller and much subtler. I got so used to that giant LED that could almost light up my room at night when it flashed. Now it's easy to miss any notifications coming through since you pretty much have to look directly at it. On my Galaxy I could see the flashing out of the corner of my eye.

The vibration is also much subtler, so I don't even feel it buzz through my pocket or on the desktop while I'm working.

Yeah the smaller LED light worries me. How do you work around not missing a notification? Mostly by the notification tones?
