is it anyway to have the zen watch 2 give you notifications for text messages and e-mail.

Isn't that one of the main reasons for having a smartwatch? Does yours not do that by default? My Gmail notifies me on my ZW2. I use Textra and that notifies me and allows me to reply. Using the stock text message app in the past, I know I could get notifications but couldn't reply on my watch. That might have changed since.

I also use textra my bad for not saying audiable alerts not just vibrating.

settings> sounds at the bottom there is "watch ringtone" you can pick vibrate or ring there
