Nougat update but problem with Always on Display

Hi, yesterday I got android 7 update, but when I go to always on display settings, the button for "show notifications" is grayed out, anyone had the same issue ?

Same here. Got update and at first it was showing sms notifications on the always on screen but now it isnt and the "show notifications" under layout menu is greyed out.

I'm sure I tweaked some other setting causing this but can't figure it out. Any suggestions?

So....I am an *****, HAHA. My problem was that I turned off all "screen lock types" under lock screen and security.

Screen lock type must be swipe at a minimum to make always on notifications display.
