On Android 12 via official release day OTA and NOV Security Update is out.

Only thing I find so far is that it's taking its Sweet A** Time optimizing in comparison to Android 11 Security Updates...

Still roughly an hour and it's still optimizing.

I noticed that too! Only 27mb and it took a long time to optimize.

Have you had any battery drain issues since this update? Mine significantly reduced and had to do a factory reset. I think it's better now but not fully what it was before.

I can't say I've noticed any battery drain. It seems a bit faster than 11. No issues so far.

My Android 12 update took a while to install on my Pixel 5 as well - but it didn't take an hour! Wow! How long did it end up taking?

I'm amazed that a 1.6gb system update will install and optimize quicker than a 27mb patch. Even some of the 6mb patches took longer to fully install than Android 12.

Yeah it took 45-55 mins give or take. All's working well

Have a feeling optimizing app time depends on how many and what type of apps installed on your phone.
