How are people feeling about this after the acquisition?

I've been considering gibing OneUI stock launcher a try...

Well, some people didn't like it and left and many others, like myself, still use it keeping an eye on the new things. So far nothing suspicious for me.

Yeah, I'm sticking with it and giving the benefit of the doubt for now, but I'm thinking it may behoove me to have a backup plan.

NOva 8 is looking good. Let's hope that it stays that way.

It's good to remember that version 8 is still not available from the Play Store even as Beta. This is a limited public release that needs to be downloaded manually from their site. Meaning, expect bugs.
