Nova Launcher - Cannot get rid of white background on icons

I recently lost all my settings for Nova Launcher (that will teach me to use backup files from now on). I had to start from scratch and now I am seeing a rounded background on all the icons, no matter which icon pack I apply (see the attachment). I tried doing a reset of my Nova settings, but the background persists and looks awful.

How do I get rid of it so the background is transparent? I am using Nova Launcher Pro on a Samsung S9+. Thanks.

Which Nova version are you using, 7.0.47? Just in case, see which option you have selected in Nova settings - Look & feel - Icon style.

7.0.47. My settings under Icon Style look exactly like yours. Still the background persists.

Disable the 'Reshape' option and see if it makes a difference.
