That's normal. The launcher controls just the home screens and the drawer. The double tap to wake happens before the launcher starts to work so the stock features still apply.

How did you do that (recording what you did)? It looks like you recorded the actual screen. I expected you to have recorded yourself with an external camera. That was cool.

There are apps that enable one to record the screen. Here is one from Google Play.

Man I'm really picky and I found Nova to stutter ever so slightly when I scroll in the app drawer on my g4. Apex on the other hand is smooth as silk. No hidden agenda here, just my experience.
