Nova Launcher - Home Button question

Hey all....

Simple question/ Hard to answer. Using an unrooted razr m.

If I open an app from home screen 4 (not default), use app, then hit the home button, I get taken back to home screen 4 (not default).

How do I set this up to when I hit the home button, I get taken back to home screen 4 (default)?

Have tried:
Looking through nova settings, under "Gestures and Buttons" changed Home Button to Default Page, "Only on Default Screen" is checked.

Still when pressing the home button, does not go back to the default screen - can anyone help?

I use nova and same settings work for me. Try reinstalling or clearing the data . after backing up your settings

Good suggestions. Tried both and just found that my toggle widget just disappeared.

Starting to sound like there is a bigger problem here. I don't really want to do a factory reset.

Going to do some more digging, but will welcome any more suggestions.

Which mobile are you using? Xt907 sounds Motorola

No need for factory reset . try apex launcher they are identical . try free version and if it works go for pro for more tweaks

Well, I ended up doing a factory reset anyway because I could not find any way to get the power control widget.

Still having the same issue though. Going to keep messing with it.

Hmm OK. And don't forget if you install widgets to SD card it will not work

All you have to do is Bring up all Home screens (Pinch in) and you will see the green tick above the default page - Hold the Tick and drag and drop to which ever page you want to be the default.

Let me know if this works.

I haven't bought it yet so no pinching... But I did go into settings and very the default page - it is correct. But the home button only takes me back to the screen I was on, not the default page.

Likewise, if I?m just viewing another screen and hit ?Home? then it takes me to my home screen: if I?m in an app and hit ?Home? then it takes me to the page the app was on and it requires another tap to get me to the ?Home? screen. I?d always assumed that's how it?s supposed to be and never considered it before.

Is it actually supposed to take you to your home screen from inside an app? I have no idea so perhaps try emailing the developer.

That is kind of what I am beginning to think.

On my last phone, which was running a custom ROM, I would go back to the default page. I know it is a nitpick, and ultimately isn't a deal breaker, it's just one of those things I would like the launcher to do.

I know where you're coming from but as I said I'd never considered it before.

I have the prime version and I've not found a way to do it in there either. Please post up what you find out as I'm intrigued!

Reset your default home launcher from settings. I have an app called quickdesk installed and, basically, when I doubletap the home button, it gives me a quick launch page. To function, it has to be set as your default home launcher, then inside of quickdesk, you set your actual launcher. For whatever reason, that connection got broken and only worked again when I cleared the launcher default and reapplied the settings.
