Nova Launcher in the G4

That still works for me when using Nova.

Interesting. So I played around with it a bit. The peek thing is tied to the lock screen. Since I don't use a lock screen at all, I lose the peek function. I just assumed it was tied to the home launcher, as I changed all that during setup.

One small gripe: on Marshmallow, the text labels of folders are sitting a little too close to the folders themselves (there's no gap between the folder icon and the text label). The text labels for single app icons are ok though, and this also doesn't happen on the Nexus 7 (also on Marshmallow).

Hi can anybody run through what i might miss if i go Nova Prime again.Ive noted a few cool features with LG will these be diabled ?also i got Choetech cover with the round display panel will that still work with Nova?

I used Nova launcher on my last phone, the droid Maxx, because the Motorola launcher was lacking (though not bad for stock) . I've used a few third party launchers over the years on various devices, and always for the same reason: the home ui launcher was either ugly, boring, or didn't have the widgets or seemed in need of improvement. I installed it right away on my new LG G4 before I had fully explored all of the themes that LG World has, and before I had fully explored the stock phone and how easy it is to customize.
Well, I ended up uninstalling the Nova launcher after lots of fiddling with my stock home launcher. I'm pretty stoked on my set up, and all The widgets work fine (both stock and from the play store.

I just got prime yesterday, and one thing I can't find is a widget for favorite contacts. How in the world can this not have a widget that shows contacts in a group?

Using Nova on my G4 as we speak.

Everything works perfectly. It even feels a little snappier as well.

from when i used it before, i remember knock code didn't work, which i love.

The choetech should work if you have quick circle apps installed too i think? Someone correct me if i'm wrong, you can also try the free version before you buy Prime, although $1 for prime now is a steal!

Hi many thanks. I already had Nova Prime. I tried it just after my post but couldn't get the double tap wake device. I also like the lock setting in LG UI that remembers location and keeps device unlocked whilst at home. I decided to stick with LG good as Nova is. Oh and the clock did work with Nova

If it's not in the gestures as an option now, double tap to wake is coming. It was in the last beta they released.

Both those things work on mine with Nova. The double tap is in the Nova gestures menu and smart lock is part of the OS and will work no matter what launcher you're using.
